Jenny Atkinson is a professional lumberjill, currently
ranked first in the world in log rolling and fourth
in the world in boom running. Jenny's dedication
to her craft is clear and her current rankings and
past accolades within her sport are proof of such.
Always a top competitor at STIHL events, she is a
proud member of Team STIHL.
But Jenny's not just an accomplished athlete; she
also has the heart of a bunch of third graders, as
she's a 3rd grade teacher. When Jenny is not
competing, she enjoys staying in the outdoors by biking,
gardening,
skiing, fishing, snowmobiling and kayaking.

Sawmilling Presentation
On May 5th, 2008,
Jenny participated in an all-day sawmilling/renewable
resource presentation for an elementary school.
As part of their Earth Week celebration, over
500 students and 100 community volunteers
participated in this event.
Jenny milled timber for landscaping around trees,
cut slab wood into firewood to sell for a
school fundraiser, and earmarked the sawdust
for art students to make paper.
The event was covered by two newspapers, and
every student went home with a personalized
autographed poster, an
orange foam
axe, and great memories of being involved in
the logging camp.

2007 Season Recap
When the recipe comes out for the "dream season," my
2007 competitions held most of the important
ingredients. I had incredible outcomes in both
log rolling & boom
running at all of the top competitions. My pre-season training was awesome
and I was ready to hit the logs when the ice
melted! I have supportive sponsors (STIHL,
Oberto Beef Jerky, Wood-Mizer, Idaho Chucks & Starfish Point) that I was
proud
to team up with again for a winning season... MANY THANKS! read
